  An example of an isolated Pistacia atlantica on the Jebel Balaas, central Syria. The nutlets are very common on Neolithic sites in Syria. Wild fruits are gathered for selling in local markets in northern Syria and southeast Turkey. A kind of instant coffee made from P. atlantica. The Bedouin extract oil from the fruit.
